Today, Britain held its first staged coronation ceremony in 70 years to enthrone a new queen. Charles III and his wife Camilla were installed as rulers of the Commonwealth countries as well as the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in London's Westminster Abbey. The new King and Queen were greeted by large groups of well-wishers (and a few protestors) who had congregated outside along the Mall and in front of Buckingham Palace despite the rain.
